The 16th International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC 2026) was held on October 27–29 at the International Convention Centre in Sydney, Australia. As one of the most influential mining and resources events in the Asia-Pacific region, this year's edition brought mining companies, investment institutions and technical service providers together in Sydney.
Xinhai Mining attended as an invited guest and delivered a keynote at the conference's China Session, joining Australian and Chinese industry peers to discuss new paths for collaborative resource development.

On October 27, the China Session at IMARC 2026, organized by the China Mining Association, opened at the convention centre. Mr. John Zhang, Director of Xinhai Mining, delivered the keynote address, “Australian Exploration, Chinese Project Delivery: From Resource Definition to a Producing Mine.”
In his address, Mr. Zhang set out a cooperation model built on complementary strengths: exploration and resource definition in Australia, project delivery in China. By combining resource investment with full-industry-chain mining services, Xinhai can take on one-stop scope that covers metallurgical testwork, engineering design and equipment, construction management, and contract operation.

The model is supported by Xinhai's twin-engine development strategy: mining investment and development on one side, full-industry-chain mining services on the other, with each reinforcing the other.
In recent years the company has widened both tracks. On the investment side, Xinhai has built a multi-commodity resource portfolio in major mining countries and established cooperation with a number of listed mining companies, with projects spanning gold, copper, lithium, graphite, niobium and mining services.
On the service side, it has established service bases around its own resource assets, moving technical, equipment and operational capability into the regions where projects are located so that clients can be served faster and closer to site. The same technical capability serves both client projects and Xinhai's own mining investments.

Xinhai's full-industry-chain mining service model, EPC+M+O, covers the mining chain end to end, and each link is backed by a specific capability.
A design basis that can be built on. Xinhai's research system, organized as three institutes and five centers, works with more than 700 senior technical experts to establish an executable design basis through testwork, continuous pilot testing and equipment verification.
Modular delivery at speed. Three intelligent manufacturing bases and an established supply chain and logistics system support fast delivery of modular, prefabricated processing plants.
From civil works to ramp-up. A specialized team holding qualifications that include Grade I General Contracting for Mine Engineering Construction extends delivery into civil works, installation and commissioning, production ramp-up and continuous optimization.
Two recent projects indicate what integrated delivery delivers in practice: the Zimbabwe lithium project was built and commissioned in 364 days, and the Zimbabwe gold project moved from exploration to production in 24 months.

In 2025, Xinhai Mining formally established its Australian branch. Localized operations are the base; technical strength and full-chain coordination are what the branch brings to the market. Through it, Xinhai will provide Australian mining clients with highly integrated, customized EPC+M+O solutions, so that high-quality exploration results in Australia can be converted into producing mines faster and more reliably.

IMARC 2026 provided an important platform for China–Australia mining cooperation, and Xinhai's twin-engine model — mining investment and development alongside full-industry-chain mining services — offers a practical new path for joint resource development between the two countries. Xinhai Mining will continue to work with global partners, with integrated delivery capability as the link, on the next stage of high-quality mining development.
