According to the principle of "more crushing and less grinding", the concentrator generally adopts a three-stage and one closed-circuit crushing and screening process. Specifically: the raw ore enters the jaw crushing machine through the feeder for coarse crushing, and the coarsely crushed products are transported to the cone crusher through the belt conveyor for intermediate crushing. After the middle crushing, the ore discharged from the cone crusher will enter the circular vibrating screen for screening. The ore with unqualified particle size on the screen should be sent to the second cone crusher for fine crushing. The undersize can enter the next process. The use of such a three-stage one-closed-circuit crushing and screening operation can solve the problem of large particle size of the crushed material. At the same time, it can also ensure the processing efficiency of the raw ore and the recovery rate of the concentrate, and improve the production index.
It can be seen from the above crushing and screening operations that the material under the sieve of the circular vibrating screen will be sent to the next production process, that is, grinding and classifying. The detailed process is as follows: the ore under the sieve is sent to the ball mill machine by the belt conveyor for grinding, and the products after grinding enter the pump box for storage. The pulp in the pump box is pumped into the hydrocyclone through the slurry pump for classification. Because spodumene contains other argillaceous substances, the pulp after classification needs to be transported to the inclined plate thickener for desliming and concentration operation. After a period of precipitation, the concentrated and deslimed spodumene slurry is discharged from the bottom of the thickener machine into the next step of the separation process.
Generally, the spodumene concentrator will use the flotation method for the separation of spodumene. The specific technological process is as follows: the spodumene slurry after concentration and desliming will enter the flotation machine for a roughing seaparation. After roughing separation, the spodumene rough concentrate will go to the next step of beneficiation. The coarse tailings will be scavenged. When separating spodumene, three-time selections are generally used. Such three-time selections can improve the recovery rate of spodumene concentrate and avoid material waste. The selected spodumene is the concentrate product, which can be transported to the concentrate warehouse for storage for further processing.
The tailings are treated to further improve the recovery rate of spodumene concentrate and make full use of the material. The tailings obtained after spodumene roughing and beneficiation will enter the sweeping process for treatment. Because the spodumene tailings contain impurities such as mica flakes, if they are directly entered into the strong magnetic separator for sorting, it may cause the media box to be blocked and thus affect the effect of strong magnetic iron removal. Therefore, in order to ensure and improve the iron removal effect, a high-frequency fine screen can be added before the spodumene tailings enter the weak magnetic separator. In this way, the impurities contained in the tailings can be removed and the iron removal process can be ensured normally. In order to obtain high-quality feldspar powder, the tailings after iron removal can be subjected to one weak magnetic separation and two strong magnetic separations.
