The feeding port of efficiency thickener machine is different from that of normal thickening machine. The ore pulp in deaerating tank is mixed with flocculant after deaerating process. After mixing process, the ore slurry is fed into thickening equipment through centering shaft at the level of diffusion block. The agglomerated mineral mud will settle at the bottom of the machine and is collected and discharged at the centering discharge port under the action of machine rake which is installed at the machine bottom. The discharged minerals will be sent the next process through the slurry pump. During processing, the overflow part will moves upward and be filtered further when passing through the mud layer. It will also be settled and purified by clarification layer and discharged from overflow dam.
The volume of efficiency thickener machine is small, the improvement of its production capacity depends on the flocculant. Therefore, it is important for thickener machine to use the flocculant in a right way. When modulating the flocculant, its concentration should be controlled strictly. If the environmental temperature is decreasing, the flocculant should be heating and agitated. To prevent the advanced sediment of flocculant before using, it will be diluted and wind-stirred in the dilution tank to extend the dissolution time of the flocculant. When adding the flocculant, it will be lift the thickening degassing tank by piston or screw pump, and sent into machine directly after mixing with ore pulp.
The usage amount of flocculant should be adjusted according to the amount of minerals and ore pulp concentration. When adding too much flocculant, concentration of bottom flow will be high and it will be hard to pumped, which may even damage the rake of thickener. If the flocculant is added too less, it will cause that overflow is not clear. If the thickening machine is stopped feeding and the height of the sedimentation layer is too low, do not give the flocculant, which may cause the excess flocculant to move upward into the overflow.
According to the flocculation effect of the selected flocculant, an ideal pulp concentration will be obtained, but in the actual production, the pulp concentration often can not meet the ideal requirements. In order to improve the concentration effect, it should be increase the amount of flocculant. When adding, what should be noted is adding water amount and stable feeding amount of minerals.
When processing the gold mine leaching solution, the addition of lime is used to adjust the pH value of the pulp, but at the same time, lime plays an important role in the cleaning of pregnant liquid. Lime can aggregate and settle the white fine mud in the slurry. The amount of lime should be strictly controlled, otherwise the efficiency of the subsequent replacement operations will be affected.
The mud layer is mainly a loose ore mud connected by flocculant. The pulp fed by the thickener, the solid sinks, the liquid rises, the rising water passes through the mud layer. The mud layer has a filtration effect on these upstream liquid, which can not only filter the mud, but also adsorb the excess flocculant in the pulp to avoid these flocculant from entering the overflow part. In the actual production, if there is no mud layer, the overflow part of the thickener machine is more muddy. When the mud layer exists, the clarification layer is more clear.
The height of mud layer should be limited in some range. While controlling the height, the discharging speed and floccutant dosage need also control. In this way, the mud layer will not too loose to flotation and also not too dense to press the rake of machine bottom.
