2025 marked another year of breakthrough performance for Xinhai in multi-mineral engineering, as our technical strengths continued to deliver value across diverse commodities. To address the varying process requirements of gold, silver, copper, lithium, graphite, and other minerals, our global technical teams leveraged mature expertise and deep engineering experience to provide end-to-end solutions spanning mining, mineral processing, and tailings management. The following section highlights selected examples of our project achievements.
01
The Kazakhstan 1.5 Mt/a copper flotation plant is delivered by Xinhai under the EPC+M+O model, covering testwork, process design, civil and steel-structure works, equipment manufacturing and installation, and full-process commissioning. Through parallel operations, milestone control, dynamic resource allocation, refined scheduling, and real-time progress tracking, the project has maintained a construction pace ahead of comparable overseas projects while ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency, building a solid foundation for stable future operation.
02
The project in Tekes County, Xinjiang was undertaken by the Xinhai team to upgrade and expand a gold processing plant from 2,000 t/d to 4,000 t/d, reaching 2 million tpa. Despite the high precision required for installing large equipment, our team accurately calibrated flatness, elevation, and alignment, completing the installation and commissioning of the ball mill, flotation cells, and the upgraded concentrate dewatering system.
Under a tight schedule, we adopted parallel construction with up to five work fronts operating at peak periods, ensuring both quality and efficiency. Since startup, the plant has run smoothly and has become a local showcase, attracting visits from government and industry representatives.
03
Xinhai upgraded a South African chromite plant and added Pt–Pd recovery, increasing capacity from 360,000 t/a to 480,000 t/a. Using ore from underground workings and tailings, we designed a “magnetic separation – regrinding – flotation” flowsheet and identified 90% passing 200 mesh as the optimal grind. The improved magnetic separation boosted chromite grade and yield, while enabling Pt–Pd recovery from tailings. Xinhai delivered process design, equipment, and commissioning, achieving one-time successful startup and qualified output.
04
This Iran project processes oxidized gold ore (head grade: ~1.2 g/t). As the client’s second order with Xinhai, we expanded its capacity from 600 t/d to 1500 t/d. Phase II took only 10 months (from down payment to production targets), with stable operations, output far exceeding expectations, and high client recognition.
On-site, Xinhai expanded fresh water storage to solve water shortage. Real-time process optimization and proper grinding coarsening boosted capacity significantly, while maintaining leaching/recovery rates. Squeezing-backwashing belt filter presses improved PLS recovery, producing high-concentration, low-moisture tailings for easier transport and better environmental protection.
05
Xinhai’s 5tph Carbon Residue-Cryolite Recovery Project in Shandong, China, represents a circular economy model in aluminum electrolysis. It extracts and reuses cryolite from waste residue, exceeding the 3 t/h design to achieve 150 t/d, lowering costs while supporting sustainability.
We optimized the process with a hammer crusher, a bucket elevator, and a belt weigher, and added screens and a buffer tank for flexible operation. Using steel structures and integrating into the existing plant, Xinhai delivered the project on time and within budget, demonstrating efficient and professional execution.
06
Following the successful delivery and smooth operation of a 1500 t/d expansion project in 2024, the client has once again entrusted Xinhai with two new projects: a 700 t/d concentrate dewatering upgrade and a 3000 t/d intelligent waste and water treatment system, demonstrating strong confidence in our capabilities.
Despite the client’s stringent listed-company standards, Xinhai executed the EPC package—covering design, equipment, installation, and civil works—with precision. Leveraging over a decade of civil engineering experience, we ensured customized design, strict process control, and seamless coordination between construction and installation, significantly accelerating progress while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
07
The client aimed to integrate an X-ray photoelectric intelligent sorting system into their crushing and screening line to pre-discard overscreened materials. Xinhai managed the entire turnkey service, including design and installation, while connecting the client with a leading domestic sorting manufacturer for reliable equipment. With over 30 years of design expertise, we facilitated seamless integration of the new system with the existing process in just 28 days, achieving successful commissioning on the first attempt with no rework. The project has since operated stably, meeting waste rejection and recovery rate expectations, and received high praise from the client.
08
In the mining industry, tailings have long been viewed as waste—but Xinhai is changing that narrative. This project focuses on reprocessing gold mine tailings, a process that not only reduces environmental pollution but also delivers significant economic returns.
The plant achieves zero tailings discharge. Through advanced processing, we recover valuable gold and sulphur from what was once considered waste. The remaining material is fully utilized for brick manufacturing, creating an accurate circular economy model. Xinhai was responsible for the complete package: design, equipment supply, and installation.
09
Xinhai designed and provided key equipment for the Somaliland placer gold project, featuring a 200 t/h capacity. The efficient gravity separation and amalgamation flowsheet ensures quick gold enrichment and strong recovery. Advantages include low-cost, simple gravity equipment, minimal chemical treatment, high-density gold recovery, and improved extraction efficiency through amalgamation. This approach offers a cost-effective and fast-payback solution for placer gold production in the region.
10
Xinhai managed the mineral processing tests, process design, equipment supply, and installation guidance for the project. The flowsheet includes crushing, grinding, classification, pre-leach thickening, and leaching–adsorption, achieving 90% gold recovery through two-stage grinding and eight leaching stages.
Despite changes in the client’s team, Xinhai maintained effective communication and optimized the design to reduce costs and construction time. Key improvements included a screw air compressor for stable aeration and a dedicated steel platform for the classification system, lowering plant height and construction costs.
11
In the 4000 t/d molybdenum Mining Engineering project, Xinhai served as the general contractor, taking charge of key works such as ramps, auxiliary shafts, and ventilation shafts. With multiple work faces and complex trades, we adopted a fully mechanized construction approach, using advanced equipment for tunnelling, slag removal, transport, support, and ventilation to maintain stable, high-intensity operations even in challenging geological conditions.
Supported by a dynamic resource allocation system, we optimized personnel, equipment, and material deployment in real time, strengthened coordination across all work faces, and ensured safe, efficient, and steady project progress.
